Centric is our original stanchion, offering smooth, classic styling with an optional stem bracket. Centric is a highly flexible option with the ability to adapt to most angles or bends.

If you want sharp, clean looks, Quad's square profile is an excellent choice. Its contemporary style has made it a popular specification for high-end projects.

Our Slim stanchions create a slimline feel for when you want a more continuous look. Always set offset from the infill.

Tested in accordance with BS EN12600 Class 1, toughened safety glass panel infills can be clear or tinted depending on your needs or we could even create a Bespoke Etched Design if your aesthetics desire it.

Perforated panel infills can be powder coated in a range of colours and finishes. They provide a robust and durable option for high traffic areas.

Vertical Infill is made from steel railings with an aluminium stanchion and top rail.

Providing classic styling, our horizontal railed infills can be powder coated in a range of colours and finishes. The number of rails can vary according to preference and need and are available in a choice of diameters.

Tension wire infills provide contemporary minimalist styling as well as providing attractive looks.

Neaco’s grout fixed detail requires core holes to be drilled on-site, please note core drilling is a wet trade so we advise this is done before any final finishes are applied.

Neaco’s base fixing detail utilises our custom extruded profile base plate, providing a solid platform for the stanchion to fix onto.

Neaco’s side fixed detail allows the stanchions to be fixed on the side of any structure, typically with a 40mm offset and the side we are fixing to needs a minimum requirement of 150mm depth.

The tubular toprail is our most popular specification across all types of design schemes. As well as being economical, it meets compliance and Building Regulations for all types of environments.

The ovular toprail provides an alternative option with a profile which is wider than the tubular rail. It provides excellent strength and comfort. Its unique design means it can only be used on straight runs and not raking.

Offset toprails can be fixed to stanchions or glass panels. This option allows glass infills to be extended higher for a clearer view and an attractively minimalist aesthetic.

Toprails and wallrails can be connected to the stanchions with different connectors depending on your preference.

Handrails can be directly mounted to walls or fixed and supported with a variety of different brackets styles.

Precision Engineered

The modular system offers the versatility to meet virtually any design requirement, no matter how complex. It is engineered to close tolerances, with quality-formed bends eliminating the need for unsightly mitred joints and onsite fitting. Component parts are mechanically secured with concealed fixings, requiring no welding and ensuring rapid assembly on-site (all fixings are supplied).

Bespoke finishes are available, you can choose to combine our aluminium balustrade and our stainless-steel balustrade within our Duplex system here.

Standard Colour Range

Our aluminium balustrade top rail can be manufactured in mill finish or powder-coated in a wide range of RAL colours. It can be offered in either nylon or polyester, nylon being a preferred application on superior chemical resistance, providing the highest level of abrasion resistance. Polyester is favoured for weather and UV resistance, providing more excellent colour stability than nylon, which will fade faster with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Bespoke RAL colours can be achieved here at Neaco as we have our own in-house powder coating plant. The powder coating gives the balustrade a satin-smooth finish which is non-chip, permanent, hardwearing and abrasion-resistant.

FAQ’s

How many different Balustrade products do Neaco manufacture?
We have around 150 different Balustrade combinations but we are always open to meet your requirements if they follow building standards.
Can I request a specification for a project?
Of course, please contact us, or alternatively look in the Architect Lounge where we have standardized variant BIM Models for Architects only.
Why do Neaco manufacture in aluminium?
Aluminium is a great building material for many reasons: it provides maintenance-free durability and is also non-toxic, corrosive-free, non-combustible and 100% recyclable - a particularly useful feature for our Genesis industrial system designed for eco-friendly performance in the harshest environments. The permanent finish of Neaco’s nylon powder coating - a standard specification on most Spectrum systems - provides smooth, clean lines for comfortable touch and high aesthetic value. It is also worth noting that our stainless-steel systems provide many similar benefits.
Why do Neaco state our handrails are “warm-to-touch”?
'Warm-to-touch’ is a well-known phrase when it comes to handrails as it is an important building regulation when a handrail is utilised in high-traffic environments. Document K of the building regulations outlines that handrails should not “become excessively cold or hot to touch” (Ref 1.36 e, pg. 15). This is reinforced by section 5.10.5 of BS 8300. The concept is that handrails provide support on stairs or ramps, however, if the environment is subject to extreme temperatures and the handrail conducts this temperature, then this may cause reluctance to use the handrail and therefore cause a safety risk.
What is a Duplex System?
It is a combination of Aluminium and Stainless Steel in a balustrade system. This means the toprails could be Stainless Steel while the stanchions could be Aluminium. Please see the Duplex section if this is what you are requiring.
What glass types are available?
A clear 10mm thick toughened safety glass panel is typically used. Other glass we can provide is 12-21.5mm thick toughened or toughened laminated glass. We can also offer options of colour tinting and etching to meet your design aesthetics. As an optional extra, we can heat soak each glass panel which accelerates crystallisation, reducing the risk of potential breakages when the glass is in situ.
Does Neaco Install as well as Supply?
Yes, we provide a full installation service in addition to technical support and consultation throughout the specification process. Our team of experts is always on hand to assist at every stage.
Do Neaco offer bespoke solutions?
Yes, absolutely. Over the years we have worked with numerous architects and designers to incorporate bespoke features outside of our standard specifications, including light fittings to the top of stanchions, etched designs to glass infills and structural glass installed at unusual angles. We pride ourselves on the flexibility and adaptability of our technical support services, so please feel free to discuss your particular requirements with one of our team.
