Neaco Modular Balconies Take Centre Stage at Modern Residential Development
Fawcett’s Yard is a small development of three detached houses that have been built on the site of a former joiner’s yard. This modern development is in the heart of Harrogate, North Yorkshire and was designed by award-winning architects Bramhall Blenkharn.
The design includes a variety of Neaco products; our balconies with frameless structural glass balustrade systems are at the forefront of each of the houses and accentuate the development’s contemporary aesthetic. Aluminium Neatdek forms the balcony decking and the 5mm gaps allow for a free-draining solution, while allowing natural light to reach the area below. Louvredek solar shading panels span the full height of each house and makes a stylish and dramatic feature whilst also serving as a privacy screen and sun shade.
Ric Blenkharn of Bramhall Blenkharn Architects says “we found working with Neaco on the project very professional and courteous. They visited the site with myself to understand the parameters of the situation, so that delivery and erection was easily facilitated. The resulting installation complements the architecture of the building very well.”
Our modular balconies are available with a wide variety of toprails, stanchions, infills and Fire Rated aluminium decking. These options, along with our vast industry and technical knowledge, mean that Neaco balconies are able to cater to any design requirement and suit any functionality.
Following government fire safety advice, our modular balconies are A1-A2 Fire Rated so are the perfect choice for residential developments with floors above 18m in height (this height restriction is due to be reduced to 11m).
