Having covered stanchions and handrails in Parts 1 & 2 of Neaco’s Balustrade Design Guide, Part 3 focuses on balustrade […]
The drill-free system eliminates the need for drilling, significantly speeding up the installation process and enabling quicker project completion without compromising structural integrity.
The Fixing detail reduces on-site noise and debris, creating a cleaner and more efficient work environment, minimising disruption, and making it ideal for sensitive or densely populated project sites.
Avoiding drilling means there are no breaches in corrosion protection, which enhances the longevity and durability of our decking. This ensures our installation maintains its structural integrity and appearance over time.
The drill-free feature reduces the need for additional tools and labour, reducing both the time and cost of installation. This streamlined approach speeds up the deployment and lowers overall project costs.
2. Lay the panels into the correct position allowing a 5mm gap between panels to keep the bar pattern looking consistent along the full area. Maintain any tolerances allowed from the structure.
3. Place the bolt through the clearance hole from above. From below, feed the saddle clamp onto the protruding bolt, ensuring that the clamp connects with the structure and the small upstand is located between the bars.
4. Feed the square nut onto the bolt so it is sat within the saddle clamp channel, ensuring that it cannot rotate when tightening from above.
5. Tighten the bolt from above whilst maintaining the connection between the saddle clamp and structure. As the bolt tightens, this will clamp the Neatdek to the structure and lock it into place. Then, repeat the process for all fixing locations.
