The Project
Comprising 24 properties, each offering highly specified two-bedroom living, the £6m project was built by the main contractor, Total Construction Ltd. Newly built, it is situated on the eastern side of Broadwater Road, in the heart of the town centre and down the road from the town’s railway station. The stylish contemporary design of the three-storey complex includes a predominantly glazed façade maximising the use of natural light to one elevation.
A large percentage of Neaco’s business has been built in residential development, but the company serves a wide range of other sectors, including commercial, industrial, leisure, education, and healthcare. With a 52,000 sq. ft factory in North Yorkshire, Neaco manufactures a wide range of products including industrial walkways, multi-purpose architectural grilles, solar shading louvres, structural glass balustrade and adaptive bathing aids.
The Product
Neaco developed and supplied a complete design solution for various balconies including aluminium decking and balustrade combining powder-coated aluminium handrails and stanchions with toughened glass panels. Engineered in powder-coated aluminium, our balcony systems provide long-term value and performance with outstanding durability and lasting visual quality. Complete with our 25mm deep mill-finish Neatdek, the balconies are nothing less than maintenance-free. The same balustrade combination was chosen for the extensive terrace areas occupying the top floor but with an added twist of the Neatlok plank solution for the terrace floor.
Architects, contractors, and developers value the peace of mind our products bring in terms of their ready-made, fully-tested compliance. They also value the maintenance-free durability that our systems offer, with a non-chip coating to rails and decking made from rust-free aluminium. Utilising a wide range of standardised components, Neaco’s modular systems are independently tested to confirm full compliance with all relevant building regulations including a Euroclass A1 or A2 fire safety rating required for external wall elements on buildings above 18m in height.
